ICT initiative in Kerala making waves

An interesting ICT project in Kannur district of Kerala has proved to be an eye-opener as to the possibilities of such technologies in improving the lives of people in every strata of society. Web portals containing information on everything from the availability of coconut tree climbers to jobs have been setup for the villages in the district. As a result this network has proved to be an extremely effective repository of relevant information for local communities and has added significant value to the people in this region.
