Yahoo's Our City is now in India

Yahoo has recently launched its India Our City application to provide highly localised content from 20 cities across the country. With the Indian market at 45 million users at present and growing in double digits, AOL is looking to leverage this opportunity. The increasing numbers of personal computers means that Yahoo and AOL plan to target internet users with their technologies and applications associated with Web 2.0 services, including social networking, picture sharing and superior video content. India, like other emerging markets such as Vietnam, is at an enviable position to attract the world's biggest internet brands to offer local users a unique range of user generated content.
